VISIT TO LITTLETHORPE MANOR, RIPON by CAR

Eddie Harland, Head Gardener and Designer of the lovely gardens at LIttlethorpe Manor  is our speaker on 14th March when he will tell us about the development of the gardens.  Our visit will be guided by Eddie himself and we will have access to all areas of the garden followed by tea/coffee and cake. The cost of the visit is £10.  Reserve your place on this trip at the March or April meeting – full cost payable at that time. There is parking for 10 cars behind the stable block and further parking in the centre of Ripon which is close by. Please try to organise car sharing. We are very pleased that we will be joined on this visit by members of Osmotherley Garden Club. Contact for this visit: Sue on 700477 or sinclair.sue@gmail.com

DIAMOND JUBILEE EVENT – SATURDAY 2 JUNE – VILLAGE GREEN

OUTLINE ARRANGEMENTS ARE NOW CONFIRMED

We are going to hold a BRING AND BUY CHARITY PLANT STALL.

Over the next few months please pot up whatever you can for the Garden Club stall – seeds, veg, divisions, cuttings. Please label and indicate colour of flower, if appropriate. Plants can be delivered ahead of the event to Sue Sinclair at Highfield, West End, or on the day to the Village Green.  Help with manning the stall for half hour stints would be appreciated. We will fix a rota nearer the time.

This formula has worked well for us in the past – we hope it will be as successful this time.
